What a tremendous encouragement this word is! First we are created as part of the Divine purpose. We are wonderfully made. But even more incredible is just how completely our Heavenly Father knows us and has His plans for us from beginning to end.
The prophet Jeremiah was given a similar promise: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations". He was to spend 40 plus years warning of judgment to come and lived to see
The fact that God has his plans for each of us should encourage and inspire us. Whatever the immediate task to hand this week it is part of God’s purpose for me. That must surely affect the way I approach it and how I carry it out.
Our constant prayer must be that we are kept in God’s will and discern his purpose…
