Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.

I thank you High God – you’re breathtaking!

Body and soul, I am marvelously made!

I worship in adoration – what a creation! You know me inside

And out, you know every bone in my body; you know exactly

How I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I had even lived one day.”
(Psalm 139: vv 13-16 The Message)

What a tremendous encouragement this word is! First we are created as part of the Divine purpose. We are wonderfully made. But even more incredible is just how completely our Heavenly Father knows us and has His plans for us from beginning to end.

The prophet Jeremiah was given a similar promise: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations". He was to spend 40 plus years warning of judgment to come and lived to see Judah conquered, the Temple destroyed and large numbers of the population taken to Babylon in exile for 70 years. Despised and reviled as a traitor he barely escaped with his life but he remained faithful to the task God had given him, and with the warnings of destruction he was able to see beyond the exile to restoration and rebuilding.

The fact that God has his plans for each of us should encourage and inspire us. Whatever the immediate task to hand this week it is part of God’s purpose for me. That must surely affect the way I approach it and how I carry it out.

Our constant prayer must be that we are kept in God’s will and discern his purpose…

Here’s a song of meditation n restorationto remind us of the Father’s love, based on the parable of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15. I pray that this song will minister to you just as much as it did to me. Receive the Father's love...let it filter and flow right through into your heart...Let us celebrate Father's day with our Heavenly Father..

When God Ran

Verse 1:
Almighty God, The Great I Am,
Immovable Rock, Omnipotent, Powerful,
Awesome Lord.
Victorious Warrior, Commanding King of Kings,
Mighty Conqueror and the only time,
The only time I ever saw him run,
Was when...

Chorus:
He ran to me,
He took me in His arms,
Held my head to His chest,
Said "My son's come home again!"
Lifted my face,
Wiped the tears from my eyes,
With forgiveness in His voice He said
"Son, do you know I still love You?"
(End Chorus)

He caught me By surprise, When God ran...

Verse 2:
The day I left home,
I knew I'd broken His heart.
And I wondered then, if things could ever be the same.
Then one night,
I remembered His love for me.
And down that dusty road, ahead I could see,
It was the only time,
It was the only time I ever saw Him run.
And then...

Repeat Chorus

He caught me by surprise.
And He brought me to my knees.
When God ran... I saw Him run to me.

Bridge:
I was so ashamed, all alone, and so far away.
But now I know, that He's been waiting for this day...

I saw Him run to me,
He took me in His arms,
Held my head to his chest,
Said "My son's come home again!"
Lifted my face,
Wiped the tears from my eyes,
With forgiveness in His voice
I felt his love for me again.
He ran to me,
He took me in His arms,
Held my head to his chest,
Said "My son's come home again!"
Lifted my face,
Wiped the tears from my eyes,
With forgiveness in His voice
He said "Son"
He called me Son.
He said "Son, do you know I still love You?"
He ran to me (When God Ran)
(I saw Him run to me)
And then I ran to Him
(When God ran)
When God ran

I prefer the original version sung by Benny Hester which I have on my WMP…Too bad can’t find the album link on the Internet to attach it here but, I found the PCD version in the Restoration album. Try listening to it! It’s very moving ..esp if you just close your eyes and listen to the words being sung.
