sunday thoughts

Random sunday thoughts :

I had a real long nite after coming back from church on a saturday. It was a very refreshing time for me, to be back in KT after weeks of absence due to my travels. The first four songs we sang for worship came from the latest United Live album, glad for that especially when the chorus of Tell The World was sung. God brought me back to his central mission again. The magic show was very light hearted but very profoundly challenging in the message it communicated about the chrisitan life :) A bunch of us later took a walk down to bayswater, with Adrien, Chris and myself surrounded by 3 of their non believing friends asking questions. I am truly encouraged Adrien as you homed in on every opportunity to share your testimony and challenge them about their life without God. I was glad in a way that one of them felt slightly uncomfortable in the church cos he didn't understand about the way christians worshipped. God answered my prayer about a PDA in the morning, through these 3 guys last nite, each of whom I was able to have a divine appointment with in some form of another. So, I got 3 instead of 1 :)

Being amongst non christians is something I thoroughly enjoy because of their authenticity. I am learning to pray for more open doors, that God will bring that connection in friendship with new people whom still have yet to know Him.

Weekends sometimes help us develop that space to think, really think and contemplate. Figuring out certain aspects of life, seeking God for clarity, understanding human relationships, learning to live a christian life under pressure from the world. The song "I Can Only Imagine" played in head last nite over and over again as all I really desired for was heaven then....I couldn't sleep much last nite, having just speaking to a friend of mine who shared with me about some highly important issues that got me thinking too. Then, appropriately enough coming highly recommended by Chris, I listened to a sermon Ps Colin preached about the value of connecting with people. He highlighted that connection is an element of intimacy in friendship. Friendship that is one which features deep fellowship with each other and with God. The need for sharing, like-mindedness , to know and be known is something that each one has within them be it Christians or non Christians. A challenge Ps Colin gave was to be able to make connection, cos that really is quite vital in communication especially when we want to connect with people's hearts.

Ha...so that sermon deposited something in me! yeah!

Its a sunny day today here in London...I'm still waiting for the guy to come fix my washing machine...Looks like I won't be able to make it to church but thank God for KT's live webcast that allows me to watch the service online! Thumbs up to technology!

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice in it!

Wow...the weather is lovely..i think may take a walk to the lake :P

Oh, but the MAN UTD v NEWCASTLE match is live on BBC at 2pm!!!

Ah, decisions ..decisions..

hey val.. realised that I've been so determined to serve God in the CF that I've missed out on the ESSENCE of our C+ ministry; to go and make disciples of all nations.

Jesus is definitely still the centre of my life and my eyes are still focused on Him, but.. the last time I spoke to a non-believer about Him, I can't recall.

Thanx for 'unintentionally' reminding me val =)
Hope to see you (real) soon..
